Video & Photos: Kickball With Joe Budden & Esther Baxter Pt. 3
July 26th, 2010 by Da Fam Ink
Yesterday Joe Budden and Esther Baxter held their always fun kickball games in New Jersey. This was probably the most eventful one yet. The turnout was great and the afternoon was filled with action, both on the field and off it as well. From having to switch fields to playing through what seemed like a hurricane at times, it was definitely a time to remember. Mud sliding, base stealing, and umpire umbrella borrowing could all be witnessed and we were there to capture most of the moments. Thanks to Joey and Esther along with everyone else that was out there.
I haven’t seen an MTV Diary episode in an eternity so when I saw that N.E.R.D had one coming out I was pumped. Unfortunately, the footage is from 2008 so I’m assuming this is just one of those things that MTV shelved for whatever reason MTV shelves things.
Anyway, it’s a pretty good episode. It follows the boys around the UK as they hit the Manchester U. field (check P geekin’ like a little kid), an in-store signing, a mock interview with college kids, and of course rock a few shows. Enjoy.
New Video: Chester French, Diddy, Jadakiss – Ciroc Star
January 28th, 2010 by CG
I’m a huge Chester French fan for those of you who may not be aware. This is one of the songs from their debut mixtape Jacques Jams, Volume 1: Endurance (hosted by Clinton Sparks) and it flew relatively under the radar. Overall I think it’s a quality song and the video reflects the life of a “Ciroc Star”.
Take a trip with Clinton Sparks and the gang as they live up their own version of The Hangover.
Pictures from the Pirelli, yes that Pirelli, calendar have surfaced and they’re fascinating to say the least.
The great Terry Richardson photographed the entire calendar and his touch is evidently showcased through the girs…and nipples…and cheeks…and all that stuff. Stop scrolling down if you’re at work because you won’t be able to stop looking and you will get fired. However, if you’re safe we have a few shots from the calendar for you to grope at.
In case you’ve been in a coma all day…Apple has announced the iPad. The best comparison I can give would be a huge iPod Touch with 3G capabilities mixed with a Kindle.
This is going to change the game. I’ve been going around saying this is the next step before we’re moving 3D holographic images around with our hands a la Avatar.
This is a pretty dope all-access, behind the scenes type of documentary with Mos Def shot by the folks from Current TV. It follows Mos throughout Japan and documents his interaction with and appreciation of the Japanese culture.
Mos discusses everything from his love for Japanese fashion, to the inspiration to his new album, to expanding “his” Japanese burger chain into the US. The one thing that gets me the most though…professional Japanese baseball has cheerleaders! In the US, baseball is the only of the three major sports to lack cheerleaders. Quite upsetting.
Anyway though, the documentary is almost 50 minutes long and is a great insight not only to Mos Def but also the Japanese and their customs. Check it out.

Unfortunately other genres don’t rip as fast as Hip-Hoppers do so we don’t have the Green Day performance or Black Eyed Peas. They were both great though.
It seems the Jigga man is an honorary Yankee these days. Performing at the World Series then once again yesterday at City Hall. Also attending a Knick game at night with a few of the players. Must be nice (c) Lyfe Jennings
If you are an @mousebudden fan like I am, you know his track record with the women is impecable (Gloria Velez, Bria Myles etc). But that’s not why I’m a fan.
I’m a fan of that great depression music he makes when one of them breaks up with him or his label shelves his album. His daily online TV show captured his breakup with girlfriend Tahiry about a month ago and fans anticipated the release of Mood Muzik 4, thinking we would get great depression tunes fueled by the breakup.
Today he introduced Somaya Reece, his new girl, to the world. Shawty is bad so congrats to him. Even though it seems Mood Muzik might be a thing of the past.
