Da Fam Inc Goes Blonde

July 13th, 2010 by Da Fam Ink

Da Fam Inc Goes Blonde. Full Photo Spread. http://theblondecollective.com/blonde/

4th of July, 2010, in our Nation’s Capital, Da Fam Inc, under direction of photographer Fresco of FNMShot, posed in our latest gear from The Blonde Collective.

Founded in 2009, just like Da Fam Inc, The Blonde Collective is a fashion brand based out of Detroit, Michigan with a message of pushing prejudice to the side and making their product accessible to any and everyone, to be worn however desired. Their ‘Blonde’ logo is faceless and could represent anyone on the face of the earth. Their website is an entertainment/educational tool in it’s own right. The Blonde Collective and Da Fam are built largely on the same principles; togetherness, quality, and of course, creativity.

We hope that you will enjoy the photo set we’ve assembled to give you a glimpse as to what each of our brands represent.

As we continue to grow, we can foresee this being the first of many collaborations between both brands. Don’t be surprised to be at a Da Fam event and see a Blonde shirt being thrown your way, or to receive one of our products as you leave one of their events in Detroit.

The “Love Blonde” campaign launches soon. In the meantime you can purchase some of the gear seen in our shoot as well as other great pieces at www.theblondecollective.com

Tell them Da Fam Inc sent you.

“The Goyard so hard man, I’m Hugo’s boss”

While in Paris for Fashion Week ‘Ye picked up his 1 of 1 Goyard backpack that he designed. It’s been deemed the “Robot Face”.

I dig the bag. The name? Not so much.

…Nike Boots?

Interesting footwear choice from Skateboard P while he was in Paris this weekend.  He adorned these sneakers (?) at both the MIDEM Keynote speech and at the Lanvin fashion show alongside Mr. West. More pictures below.

Commonwealth x Maiden Noir

December 23rd, 2009 by CG

With a successful 5th year anniversary under their belt, Commonwealth is set to release another collaborative project before the year is out.  They’ve teamed up with Seattle-based clothing company, Maiden Noir.  Maiden Noir is widely known for their immaculate attention to detail that they incorporate in all of their garments.

Commonwealth x Madden Noir6

The lookbook for the collection is crazy in its own right, not to mention it was shot on the Chesapeake Bay which is literally a stone’s throw from my home.  The offerings from the collab will include three jackets, a long-sleeved button up shirt, and a wool cashmere beanie.  The entire line will be available starting Saturday, December 26th online and in both brick & mortar shops (D.C. and Norfolk, VA) but will be limited to about a dozen pieces per style so scrounge up your Holiday booty and purchase a few pieces from the collection before they’re gone.

The Finer Things…

December 18th, 2009 by CG

Ever since the schism of our mother site, Da Fam Inc., and this here blog that you’re now reading occurred I’ve (keyword –>) tried to post less material commodities and focus on exposing more intellectual or entertaining content.  Dahhhh well…seeing as Christmas is around the corner I’ll give you guys a taste of some worldly possessions that have caught my eye recently.  I’ll call it my “Oh in case you were wondering what Chris would appreciate as a gift this season” Christmas/Birthday Gift List.

3. Converse x Fragment Design – Hiroshi Fujiwara strikes again with his third installment of collaborative sneakers with Converse. Available December 26th.Xmas

4. Louis Vuitton Shades – These are from their 2010 Spring Collection.  A little LV Millionaire-esque.

For your troubles, I’ll even ask that you don’t wrap my gifts.  I tear wrapping paper to shreds like a 10 year old anyway. Thanks.

Jordan 2010

I can dig this. Haven’t really been into Jordans as of late but they’re coming after my heart next year. With Dwayne Wade as the new pitchman, Brand Jordan is set to release the Jordan 2010 next February for $170.

The shoe, which also commemorates Brand Jordans 25th anniversary is geared towards style and performance according to the company, and will make it’s debut during this seasons All-Star game.

Not to mention it matches dafamink’s colors perfectly. Possible sponsorship?

DJ Clark Kent’s Top 50 AF1s

November 10th, 2009 by CG

Everybody that knows anything about sneakers knows that DJ Clark Kent is a dominating force in the Air Force One game.  Like really…

Aside from his personal collection he’s also collaborated with Nike on his own sneakers. The “112 Pack” including an Air Force, an Air Max 1, and an Air Trainer 1.

Complex has now enlisted Clark Kent’s expertise and asked him to compile a list of his 50 favorite Air Force Ones of all time.  There are a lot of quality sneakers on this list.  I think it’s well put together and encompasses a lot of different time periods and styles.

Check it out here: DJ Clark Kent’s Top 50 AF1s

Terry Richardson x Rosa Acosta

October 27th, 2009 by CG

Everybody’s favorite new video vixen + the crudest photographer around = some interesting material.

Terry Richardson x Rosa Acosta3

Rosa Acosta is featured in this season’s Supreme magazine and for her shoot they solicited the help of renowned photographer Terry Richardson.  As expected when anyone works with Terry, the photoshoot yielded some riveting captivating jaw-dropping images.  Enjoy the product (but not too much).

Patta x Nike AM1

October 27th, 2009 by CG

We’ve all been through stages when we made less than praiseworthy fashion decisions.  I remember back when I had some—-actually, I’d rather not relive that…However, I am proud to say that I’ve graduated from foolish fashion choices and I can truly appreciate simplicity in all it’s glamour.

Patta and Nike bring us a new collaboration utilizing the palette of my favorite Air Max of all time, the Air Max 1 (or ‘87 for those of you in the know). I think the olive green sets the shoe off perfectly yet keeps things very simple…the way it should be.

Release details to come.

Jimmy Choo For The HOMMiEs

October 22nd, 2009 by CG

Word has been circulating for quite some time that Jimmy Choo would be producing a line exclusively for H&M. The new news here is that the line will also include a men’s selection.

Jimmy Choo-H&M

The men’s line will include everything from leather goods, formal attire, jeans, and plenty of footwear selections.  Both the men’s and women’s line will be available at H&M’s starting on November 14th.  No word yet on pricing but one can only hope the pieces will be a bit more affordable than the customary Jimmy Choo prices.
