I’m a huge Chester French fan for those of you who may not be aware. This is one of the songs from their debut mixtape Jacques Jams, Volume 1: Endurance (hosted by Clinton Sparks) and it flew relatively under the radar. Overall I think it’s a quality song and the video reflects the life of a “Ciroc Star”.
Take a trip with Clinton Sparks and the gang as they live up their own version of The Hangover.

In case you’ve been in a coma all day…Apple has announced the iPad. The best comparison I can give would be a huge iPod Touch with 3G capabilities mixed with a Kindle.
This is going to change the game. I’ve been going around saying this is the next step before we’re moving 3D holographic images around with our hands a la Avatar.

I’m not sure who’s behind this (Ace Hood and Khaled maybe?) but I got the email around 4am when Blackberry’s started working again and logged on this morning. Either way, I want in. They seem to be all about hustle, struggle, ambition and all those other words that wakes us up in the morning. Treat yourself.

The man who was most hated about two months ago is getting praise left and right these days for his decade of musical contribution and he’s loving every second of it. His recent blog posts seem more “I told you assholes I was great” and less “thank you, I appreciate the honor”.
“THANK YOU SO MUCH! THIS IS CRAZY.”

“WOW… THIS IS REALLY FLATTERING… I’VE HAD SOME UPS AND DOWNS THIS YEAR, WELL ACTUALLY THIS DECADE. JUST SEEING THIS COVER TAKES ME BACK TO THAT TIME OF MY LIFE. I REMEMBER HOW MUCH PAIN AND LOVE WENT INTO THIS ALBUM. NO ONE SAW IT COMING. THIS PROJECT WASN’T ABOUT ME, IT WAS ABOUT A TIME IN PEOPLES LIVES WHERE PEOPLE FORCE OPINIONS ON YOU AND YOU HAVE TO MAKE CHOICES FOR YOURSELF. WE LOVED 50 CENT BUT WE WANTED TO BE THE YANG. WE WANTED TO WEAR PINK POLOS AND RAP ABOUT BEING HURT INSTEAD BEING INVINCIBLE. THERE WAS A CORE GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO WORKED ON THIS ALBUM EVERYDAY…. PLAIN PAT, JOHN MONOPOLY, DON CRAWLEY, ANTHONY KILHOFFER, MANNY MARROQUIN, JOHN LEGEND, DEVON HARRIS, RYHMEFEST, GEE ROBERSON, HIP HOP, AL BRANCH, DAMON DASH, GABE TESORIERO, CRAIG BAUER, GLC, OL’ SCHOOL ICE GREE, CONSEQUENCE, B NICE AND MY MOM. I WAS MOST INSPIRED BY THE MISEDUCATION OF LAURYN HILL AND I LISTENED TO THAT ALBUM EVERYDAY WHILE WORKING ON MY DEBUT. THANK YOU FOR THIS ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND FOR PUTTING “THE BLUEPRINT” ON THE LIST ALSO. I LOVED “THE LOVE BELOW’ AND “GET RICH OR DIE TRYING” ALSO. THEY BOTH EQUALLY DESERVED THE NUMBER ONE SPOT IN MY EYES BUT THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE NUMBER ONE!!!”
“WOW, I’M PART OF ROLLING STONE’S ARTISTS OF THE DECADE….WOW!!!”
“WOW!!! SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE I’M IN A MOVIE. THANK YOU FOR THE HONOR.”

Something a little different from Lupe. Very cool though. For the soundtrack to the movie Twilight.

With the recent rash of individuals claiming to have slept with golfer Tiger Woods, a few everyday people took to their laptops and cell phones earlier to state that they too have slept with Tiger. Here are some of their stories.

Huffington Post has an article with Jackie Ramos, the good samaritan Bank Of America worker that was fired for helping customers avoid the banks foul practices to extract money by charging us ridiculous late fees and changing interest rates on credit cards without warning. The article goes into a lot more detail about B.O.A’s slippery sales tactics and how this young lady tried to help. Read it in it’s entirety here.
Complex Magazine sat down and interviewed Nicki Minaj. We’ll spare you the mumbo jumbo. Below are the pictures.
NBA.com preps you for Allen Iversons historic return to Philly tonight. The game will air at 7pm on NBATV.
Queens Bridges finest, Nas Escobar, tells TMZ.com that his sobriety test and subsequent arrest in Atlanta was due to profiling. Normally that sounds like a cop out but if you watch the tape you can see Nas pass every test and still get carted off to jail.
RTTNews.Com and several other sources report that Diddy made Home Shopping Network history last week. His fragrances completely sold out in less than hour and grossed over $400,000 in sales, forcing the network to cancel his second appearance that was scheduled. Clap for him.

Alicia and American Express put on a live show yesterday for Aids awareness in New York. To close out her hour long set, she brought out Hov to perform their chart topping hit, ‘Empire State Of Mind’.

I’ve read an article here and there and I know all about Marc Ecko and his hustle but today I really got into the cover stories at Complex. They really know how to do interviews. Anyone interested in media or journalism, or just looking for some insight into their favorite acts should be reading Complex. There’s a certain poetry to interviews that most “journalists” miss. Complex seems to have it on lock.
